Oxys in Black and White A work by Tahmineh Monzavi Music: Aftab Darvishi

The relocation to a new geographical region brings about many personal challenges; one will have to face hardships on many levels from the seemingly simple matter of food to the more complex issues such as social, cultural, religious, linguistic, etc.
Yet feeling all these adversities within one's own homeland, in my opinion, is a much more painful pill to swallow.
Over the past four decades the people and particularly the young generation of Iran have been subject to all forms of segregations and seclusions; from gender to ethnicity; religion to social statues. People have been forced to hide their true identity either out of the fear of prosecution; missing opportunities that they deserve or harassment of those backed by government; but these are still the lucky ones compared to those who refuse to compromise and hide beneath a pretentious mask and are consequently obscured beneath the thick skin of falsities.
The video ( name of film) is a tribute not just to those who felt so crushed by the corrupt system that they took leave of their homes and loved ones but also to those who chose to stay; bear the pain of being completely alienated in their own motherland.
